It Started with Frustration
As a master electrician and vocational trainer, I’ve been working with ECAD software for years. And for years, the same problems have been driving me crazy: expensive licenses, Windows-only support, and bloated interfaces that confuse more than they help.
The Mac Moment
I use a Mac for both personal and professional work. And every time I needed to draw a schematic, it meant: boot up Windows. Open Parallels. Wait. There has to be a better way.
The Idea
What if there was an ECAD app that actually felt like a real Mac app? Native. Fast. Intuitive. Without all the bloat nobody needs — but with everything practitioners actually use.
Sketrix Is Born
That’s how Sketrix came to be. A SwiftUI app, built on Apple Silicon, with a clear focus: professional schematics for people who work with them — not for people who sell software.
Who Is It For?
- Trainees who need an affordable solution
- Small businesses that can’t afford enterprise software
- Mac users who finally want to work natively
The beta launches in summer 2026. Stay tuned.
